Senior Strategist

What You’ll Do

As Senior Strategist at Madwell in our Denver office, you’ll be responsible for developing strategies across all phases of our client accounts. This could include initial brand strategy, ongoing campaigns, one-off activations, and even new product/feature launches. You’ll balance your time between rolling up your sleeves to work with your internal colleagues and working directly with the client to sell, promote, and defend our work. You’ll be our in-house expert on everything related to the client’s business, brand, and target audience and you’ll routinely identify new opportunities and insights to inspire our team.

As an experienced strategist, you’ll utilize our existing tools and processes while adding your own unique expertise to ours, leading and mentoring others along the way. You’ll also be responsible for advocating for and supporting the strategy process in Denver while collaborating with members of our strategy team in other offices.

Specifically, you’ll be:

  • Developing, refining, and documenting brand strategies and campaign/comms strategies across 1-2 large accounts, while supporting other smaller accounts
  • Listening to our client’s business needs, and delivering strategies that meet and exceed their objectives and KPIs
  • Uncovering and interpreting relevant cross-cultural and social trends with a focus on driving brand initiatives across multiple communities
  • Provide thought leadership around cross-cultural consumer marketing based on data driven insights
  • Developing and maintaining the consumer profile for creative and strategy teams to foster a deep understanding of audience/consumer
  • Mapping the customer experience through journey maps, diagrams, and hands on research.
  • Overseeing, and conducting if necessary, primary field research including interview, focus groups, or other innovative methodologies
  • Analyzing data, including Google Analytics, MRI, GWI, and other platforms
  • Collaborating with Media and Social teams on strategic planning and mapping messaging and creative needs to media plans
  • Writing and presenting reports, decks, or other client facing documentation

Our Must-Haves

  • Deep yet varied experience across many aspects of strategy: brand, comms, social, paid media, experiential, digital, go to market, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of consumer insight tools and resources
  • Proven ability to build and document brand and marketing strategies
  • Experience working with VP and executive level clients

Where You’ve Been

  • 5-8+ years working as a strategist or account planner either in a creative agency setting or brand-side
