What You’ll Do

As a Contract Account Director at Madwell, you’ll be responsible for leading a dedicated workstream on one of our accounts, primarily overseeing content development and strategy for national paid media and their organic social channels. You will be working in the wireless carrier space with one of the largest communication technology companies. You’ll work closely with client contacts, media agency partners, and in-house creative and project management teams to assess, communicate, and address your key client needs. You’ll be overseeing a cross-functional team and ensuring the day-to-day work is completed, while also providing thought leadership to your client.This is a contract position with the possibility of becoming permanent. 

Specifically you’ll be:

  • Building and maintaining strong, collaborative and trusted relationships with creative and strategic partners within Madwell, to transform knowledge of client’s business objectives, and customer insights into actionable marketing strategies and tactics
  • Monitoring and evaluating the competitive landscape to provide strategic insights
  • Providing direction and supervision to the team on client expectations, content implementation, including development of strategy and creative ideas. 
  • Driving the strategic development of programs, checking in to ensure that we have a tight brief, and aligning client deliverables to KPIs throughout the creative and production process
  • Managing cross-functional agency partners and bridging client, creative, and media communications. Ensures agency timelines are accurate, effective, and enforced.
  • Leading weekly organic social status meetings and creative reviews with internal and external teams  
  • Foreseeing business opportunities and formulating action plans to drive the client business
  • A brief master: strongly contributing to building briefs with your strategic partner, checking in to ensure that we have the brief right, and aligning client and channel deliverables to KPIs throughout the creative and production process
  • Performing informal 1:1 client check-ins to ensure satisfaction of services provided

Our Must-Haves

  • Tried and tested account management skills
  • Strong understanding of core social channels (both paid and organic), including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Exceptional analytical, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with and manage up to senior leadership (internal and external)
  • Naturally inclined toward leadership with the ability to work in a self-directed capacity
  • Experience working with integrated creative, production, social media, and media buying teams
  • Digital literacy, deducing learnings from paid media performance reports and applying to bigger picture thinking
  • Solutions-oriented, recommends solutions when problems arise, assists teams in problem solving, and seeks input from colleagues in problem resolution.
  • Exhibits a sense of curiosity and a growth orientation. Continuously seeks out knowledge as well as growth and learning opportunities.
  • Clearly demonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic environment through flexibility, resilience and a positive outlook.

Where You’ve Been

  • 8+ years experience in account management (project management experience a plus) in a creative agency setting
