You see and think across the vast landscape of today’s many mediums, and you can mold all that goodness into a singular, integrated plan. You’re the Program Director we’re looking for, and we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do

As a Program Director at Madwell, you’ll work across many of our top accounts. You’ll balance your time between overseeing a team of Creative Producers and working directly with internal leadership to develop comprehensive plans and ensure we deliver as promised. You’ll be an in-house expert on everything related to project management and production, and you’ll routinely identify new opportunities to bring efficiency and structure to the teams. You’ll report into our VP of Production to help evolve and implement new and stronger processes, keeping projects productive and healthy over time.

Specifically, you’ll be focussed on these core responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Drives operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects / clients
  • Oversees the development of timelines and ensures milestones are met
  • Ensures consistent standard of work across portfolio of projects
  • Supports the production team by helping to prioritize new project requests
  • Proactively provides feedback or direction based on understanding of goals, feasibility, and client expectations

Scoping / Budgeting / Financial Management

  • Accountable for overall Program financial health, including all the development of scopes, and staff plans/budgets for assigned accounts
  • Partners with Client Services to forecast revenue/resources
  • Able to have high level scoping and approach meetings with clients without discipline leads present 
  • Able to write complex scopes and has mastered project definition
  • Has extensive experience representing agency capabilities to senior clients and new business opportunities
  • Responsible for reviewing all estimates, scopes and change orders that go out to assigned accounts to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance with client-level contracts

Team Management

  • Develops annual/quarterly reviews and growth plans for all direct reports
  • Engages in hands-on coaching and mentoring
  • Inspires and energizes team, and always leads by example
  • Ensures team understands overall vision, guiding principles and expected standards

Communication / Collaboration

  • Able to create and deliver internal and client communications presentations; Leads meetings with ease
  • Collaborates with other cross-functional department leads to improve and execute on client deliverables, process, and output
  • De-escalates problems and mediates when necessary, being careful not to take a side but to work toward a solution

Client Focused

  • Partners with Client Services to understand client business objectives and translate them into efficient, actionable programs
  • Maintains healthy client relationships manage day-to-day client communications when necessary around a variety of issues (e.g., scope, production issues, etc.)
