Senior Social Strategist

You’re the Senior Social Strategist we’ve been looking for, and we want to meet you.

What You’ll Do

As Senior Social Strategist at Madwell, you’ll lead the development of brand-focused social strategies across multiple workstreams. You’ll balance your time between rolling up your sleeves to collaborate and ideate with your internal colleagues and working directly with the client to sell, promote, and defend our work. You’ll serve as an in-house social specialist who can architect and action social tactics that will resonate, and you’ll routinely identify new opportunities and insights to inspire our team. You’ll utilize our existing tools and processes while adding your own unique expertise to ours. You’ll mentor junior team members and will have the opportunity to learn from more senior integrated strategists to expand your skill set.

Specifically, you’ll be:

  • Creating social playbooks and tactical plans that will bring voltage and scale to major campaign moments
  • Spearheading channel plans and leading channel-specific initiatives on key social platforms
  • Writing briefs and guiding creative teams
  • Working directly with brand strategy and media to create presentations and package recommendations
  • Working with interagency teams to brief, define and optimize social creative against defined KPIs
  • Sourcing insights on your own or through social listening tools
  • Seamlessly moving between rolling up your sleeves in the work and presenting to senior executives on the client side

Our Must-Haves

  • Deep knowledge of core social channels and broader digital landscape
  • The perspective that a challenge is really an invitation to create better, bolder work
  • The ability to navigate both the creative and analytical sides of social media. You can tell stories with data (versus simply just reporting on the numbers) and know how to identify clear implications and recommendations
  • Experience with tools like Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Helixa, Resonate, Infegy
  • Experience working directly with platform partners (Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, Reddit, Tik Tok) and in an IAT model
  • A collaborative spirit who can work with creative teams to make the complex simple
  • The ability to communicate your ideas and strategies articulately and persuasively, both internally and externally
  • A passion for staying up to speed on the latest and greatest in the world of social, and the ability to share the updates, insights, and best practices with others as our resident expert

Where You’ve Been

  • 5+ years experience in social media, including agency experience
  • Experience in comms strategy or paid social is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience establishing, developing, and growing client relationships and accounts
